i dont know when it happened but somewhere along the way “shipping” got a new meaning for younger folk that seems to translate to “i want these people together for real asap”. i think the media had something to do with it. but guys.

shipping absolutely Does Not mean demanding anything from people/creators. shipping isn’t about expecting and waiting for the day it will certainly happen. it is not a direct translation to Happen Or Die.
shipping means you like the idea of two (or more) people together. you like the concept. you find it fun to imagine the dynamics. you even create fanon content of it (fic, art, edits). it’s all in your head and it’s Fine that way.
is it nice to have a ship become canon? oh my god, yes. but that’s not what shipping is about and yall need to take a step back and breathe because being a jerk to people aint gonna change their mind about ships.

I’m not trying to offend anyone I’m just not very well informed and the internet isn’t yielding much. What exactly is demisexuality and grey asexuality? Can someone explain?
Demisexuality is developing sexual attraction after forming a relationship. This can be a platonic relationship, a romantic one, ect., and these feelings don’t have to be reciprocated, and this doesn’t have to happen with everyone a demisexual person grows close to.
Grey asexuality is an off branch of asexuality where a person does experience sexual attraction, it’s just such a rarity for them that they feel this label fits them better than others. I’ve heard Graces say they’ve only experienced sexual attraction a few times in their life, and others say a few times in a shorter period: a year for example.

for instance, whenever i show a picture of my cat to people, if they go “oh, he’s so cute!” and i say “yeah, she is :)” people are always so quick to go “oh my god, i’m so sorry! yeah, she is pretty cute!” like they *immediately* use the correct pronouns. for an animal. like, the animal will never know you used their correct pronouns. but people will. so like i said, give the same energy to trans people and their correct pronouns as you do to animals and theirs.
